Anne Koch, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor, Management

Anne Koch is a assistant professor in the management department. Previously, she was a research fellow at SPRU, the Institute of Science, Technology and Policy Research at Sussex University in the United Kingdom. Before that, Professor Koch was a research fellow at the Haas School of Business in University of California, Berkeley.

For her work on innovation in organizations, she has been awarded a Marie Curie International Fellowship exploring 'Decision Making of Innovation Teams in Research and Development in knowledge-intensive Industries'.

In academic year 2005-2006, Professor Koch was a visiting professor at the University of Washington. She further gathered teaching experience in organizational theory, new product development, and strategic management at the University of Lueneburg and the University of San Francisco.

Her research focuses on new product development, teams, organizational alignment, and learning in high-technology firms. Her writings particularly focus on biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Professor Koch also works closely with companies to increase their strategic success and competitive advantage. Her experience includes consulting for non-profit and profit organizations.
