Jennifer Tosti-Kharas

Assistant Professor, Management

Jennifer Tosti-Kharas received her Ph.D. in management from the Stern School of Business at New York University. She earned a bachelor's degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in management and finance.

Professor Tosti-Kharas is currently involved in a number of research projects that explore the cognitive, emotional and behavioral consequences of employment transitions, specifically organizational and occupational entry, exit and change. She also examines what factors might explain people’s responses to these significant events in their work lives. Her research interests include professional identity, the meaning of work, employee response to involuntary job loss, and career development.

Professor Tosti-Kharas has taught courses on organizational behavior, team dynamics and corporate social responsibility. Prior to entering academia, she worked as a strategy consultant at Accenture, specializing in the communications, media and entertainment industries.
