Graduate Programs : Financial Aid

Dear Graduate Business Students

As you know, a new fee of $210 per credit unit has been assessed for all Graduate Business students by the CSU System to begin Fall semester 2009. Part of the new fee is to be set aside for student financial aid.

We encourage all U.S. citizen students and resident students to submit student financial aid applications to the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Financial Aid) web site.

FAFSA Application

The FAFSA application is a baseline requirement for consideration of any SF State financial aid. In order for SF State to receive an electronic copy of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Financial Aid), you must include “San Francisco State University” and the code number “001154” on the college release section of the FAFSA. Students who have already submitted the FAFSA application for Fall semester 2009 do not have to re-submit.

The FAFSA application is generic for both undergraduate and graduate students, so some questions or items on the application may not apply to your current living situations as independent adults. The FAFSA will only be used to indicate your eligibility for student grants and loans. There is no requirement for qualifying students to accept grants or accept student loans.
