Graduate Students : MBA : Departments and Courses

The College of Business is organized by departmental disciplines. Each of the eight departments offers limited specializations in a variety of areas. The departments listed below are linked to the University Bulletin's descriptions of degree requirements, course descriptions, and graduate advisors for the current semester.

Please consult an academic advisor by department before choosing elective courses. Advising is particularly important for MSBA students, because this degree is primarily elective. Advisors are not assigned, so it is up to the student to seek advising as soon as a question arises. Academic advisors should be consulted, for example, about the choice of degree, required courses for that degree, or possible career implications of electives.

For schedule planning purposes, required courses for the MBA are offered in fall, spring, and summer semesters, except computer courses and electives are not offered in the summer.

Note: Except for DS 710, DS 712, BUS 714 and BUS 780–788, all graduate courses are numbered 800 and above. Other electives are available under the BUS course listing.
