The Executive MBA Program
The Executive MBA Program (EMBA) is designed to accelerate your career into executive management. You will learn and grow experientially along with a stimulating group of peers - a "cohort" of other working professionals whose experiences will add depth to the structured sequences of classes that make up the 23-month program. To enable you to maintain your full-time career, classes meet seven hours a week during evenings or on Saturdays.
Location
EMBA classes are held at convenient location in downtown San Francisco. The state-of-the-art facility ensure you will enjoy a productive and comfortable learning environment.
Class Hours
EMBA classes meet two evenings a week from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. or on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Generally, classes meet every week year-round except major public holidays.
The Cohort Experience
Students enter and exit the program with the same set of colleague, and as such, develop a tight, supportive network of people from a broad cross section of Bay Area organizations. The diversity of our cohorts establishes an exciting mix of students that take the same courses together making possible the development of a strong, positive learning community. Students in our cohorts will explore and develop individual potential as well as learn to operate together in a suite of exciting course. The SF State Executive MBA Program is specifically designed to propel our students into the world of managerial thinking to help them move beyond their current roles and become tomorrow's organizational leaders.
Curriculum
The curriculum balances the art and sciences of management so you not only understand theoretical issues, but also learn to apply theory in diverse management situations. Courses are designed to give a comprehensive and relevant understanding of today's management environment. Case studies of actual business situations and guest speakers with specialized expertise are an essential part of the curriculum.

Once you are admitted to the program, our EMBA staff takes care of most administrative tasks, including class registration and textbook ordering. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment so that you can concentrate on your courses and studies.
